The apothecaries system of weights is a historical system of mass units that were used by physicians and apothecaries for medical recipes, and also sometimes by scientists, using drachms or drams, scruples, grains, etc.
Many different conversion methods exist, whether using Roman, Sicilian, Nuremburg, Habsburg, English, Prussian, Latin, or any combination or variation thereof, and these may be found with further research, as each differs slightly depending upon the cultural influence at time of production
