This is a stunningly rare large antique solid brass 19th century mortar and pestle set
it is made from extremely thick brass, is a very heavy piece, and has a wonderful patina from age
the large pestle is made from solid brass and has two different sized ends
both used for crushing contents inside the mortar
the mortar measures 4 5/8 inches tall by 4 1/4 inches wide
the pestle measures 6 5/8 inches long by 1 3/8 inches thick
