Made of heat-resisting glass with a central metal spring and screw, these items were found in the wreckage of a building that had been razed on the east side of Manhattan They are 4 1/2 inches long and 2 inches in diameter I admit I don't know what they were used for, but it must be something electrical These words are embossed on the glass: "Standard heat resisting housing - cat #100 - 7500 V - Made in U.S
