Probably Connecticut, Circa 1720-1740, in Maple and ash with an old 19th century needlework "Cat" embroidered covering over ITS ORIGINAL splint seat
There is some later, 19th century line highlights on the posts and slats that were probably added when they covered the seat with the CAT covering
The seat height is a full 12"
