This Salter model no.111 "Counter Platform Machine" is a spring trade scale that was produced circa 1920 by the well-known British manufacturer The aged but legible face is numbered to 22 pounds, with designation "22 lbs by 2 oz" towards the bottom, and the outer ring is marked with a "8" every half pound The entire piece measures 25" high, 12" wide, and 22 1/2" deep, the spring-loaded platform measures 10 1/4" wide and 14" deep, and the face has a 8 1/2" diameter
