This replica of a Pylos tablet ( PY Cn 1287) recreates an iconic example of Linear B, a syllabic script with a large number of ideograms that was used for writing the earliest form of Greek The script emerged from the still-undeciphered Linear A, used by the Minoan civilization Dark terracotta, measures 12.5cm high x 9cm wide x 1.5cm deep
