I'm uncertain as to exactly how old it is, but I believe it dates from the mid to late 19th century
With the handle lying down, it measures 5 inches tall (12.7 cm)
Not including the handle, it measures 4 1/2 inches tall (11.4 cm)
When the handle is upright, it measures 10 inches tall (25.4 cm)
The top measures 11 1/2 inches across (29.2 cm)
The base measures 5 3/4 inches across (14.6 cm)
The piece is made of copper and is silver plated
