This is a nice large brass astronomy telescope made in the 1800's. It measures 37 inches long when closed, and extends to 55 inches at its longest
& J.D. Negus and was described as "probably the most prolific American chronometer manufacturer" up through the first quarter of the 20th century
The outside diameter of the objective lens is 3 inches, the objective glass measures 2 1/2 inches
