Both the inside and outside, but especially the former,  are finished with hundreds of tiny hammer marks producing a beautiful,  if random, array of peened dimples    This wonderful antique cup weighs 58 grams  most are erroneously dated to the Colonial period or 19th century   It is a style that was popular from the mid-19th century to the early-20th century  the rim of the cup is about 2 3/8 inches in diameter   The bird handles are just shy of 3 3/8 inches in width FINE AND RARE 20TH CENTURY ANDEAN ART
