This unknown optical instrument was made in France in the early 20th century (1910-1920)
The case measures 29 1/2" long x 8" wide
Each individual side measures 13" long by 9" high
The center pipe measures 23" long by 6" high
The circular canisters on either side are made of glass
Last but not least, the case where this instrument comes in is made of solid wood with fine dovetail joints at the corners
