Circa 1890s * Conway * Sterling Silver Thimble It is made of sycamore wood, probably by the W. & A. Smith Co in Mauchline Scotland The bridge was a railway bridge built in 1848 and was the first constructed that was able to take the weight of an engine and train It fits together snugly and measures 1 5/8" high The base is 2" in diameter It's about an American size 7/8 (14.8 mm diameter opening)
