This thimble was made by the Parisian silversmith Léon Chalin, who worked at rue de Crussol, whose hallmark was registered in 1885 and cancelled in 1929 Besides the hallmark of Léon Chalin, there is the size number 8 and the boar's head for silver made in Paris after 1838 The thimble is 25 mm high and 16 mm the weight is 7,6 gram
