These are individually marked | 10 grams | Antique Apothecary style hand-held Balance Scale, possibly used by a field doctor, early pharmacist, or old-time miner of gold and silver The balance beam measures about 5 1/2" long, and there are two brass pans that measure about 2 1/4" each 1/2 drachm (drachm units were used by pharmacies back in the day) Box is made of lightweight wood, possibly poplar, and the bottom is lined with green paper (not sure if this paper is original to this set) Box measures about 6 1/2" x 3"
