ALL IN NATIVE RED OAK, PROBABLY ESSEX OR SUFFOLK COUNTY, MA, CIRCA 1680-1690, IN AN OLD DRY GRUNGY ORIGINAL DARK SURFACE
THE FOUR SHAPED SLATS ARE "RIVEN" IN THE TRUE 17TH CENTURY MANNER
The only other restoration is that in the early 20th century most of the joints were tightened with pegs
This great chair stand 42 1/2" tall with a seat height of 17 1/4" it is nearly 2 feet across
