LEXINGTON, MA, Circa 1790-1800
This great chair is a great example of a Boston, MA area Windsor from the latter part of the 18th century
The surface is a nice old late 19th century black paint over the original black
Although the chair would have a seat height of 16 1/2" without them, the last collectors had additions put on the bottoms to raise them to 18" to use at a desk
The seat height is a full 18" tall, 16 1/2" without the additions
