Estate Found Antique 19th Century Nicolaus Amatus Violin in Fitted Case
This is an attic found full size violin dating to the 19th century
Amatus (1596-1684) crafted well-made violins starting about 1610, but his workshop did not begin in earnest until circa 1620
This violin is a very well-crafted 19th century "copy" of an Amatus
The violin is accompanied with an early 20th century fitted hard shell case
