This is a rare cast iron Jewel tea kettle made by the Detroit Stove & Range Company
It is not round like most kettles but oval and measures 5 1/2" wide, 11 3/4" long and 7 1/4" tall (9 1/2" with the handle up)
Based on research and the way it was made, oval with a pit and rimmed bottom, it makes me think that maybe it was designed to fit a specific stove made by the company
