Mexico, circa 1000-600 B.C. Measuring 9" x 7" x 4" approx, this is an outstandingly carved dark green stone, with typical Olmec features of wide nose, thick lips and very defined eyes
These works of art were generally carved from materials including Jade, Jadeite, Granite, Serpentine, Flint, and Alabaster
