Back length | 668 mm | Lower bout | 400 mm | A rare and early small-size cello, conforming to the proportions of a violoncello piccolo and probably bearing its original label, "Matthias Kloz, in Mittenwald an der Iser, 17 (53?) " At the very least, the cello is certainly from the mid 18th century and is consistent with the Stainer-influenced models used by the Kloz family Mensur (unreliable as neck/scroll portion not original): 635-640 mm
