There is a label inside that says "Hand Carved in Germany 1850-1900 Restored 2015" The violin measures 7"wide and 23-1/4"overall
CORRECTION ON THE MEASUREMENTS!! the body by itself is 14-3/8 long and 7-7/8" at its widest point
total length including the neck is 23-1/2 from tip to tip
