This little antique bucket style thimble holder is made of steel (attracts a magnet) and is lined with the original blue velvet
It measures 1 5/8" high (including the handle) and is about 3/4" in diameter
It has one tiny needle hole in the side and is about an American size 5/6 (13.7 mm diameter opening)
