As more and more tourists visited this region in the late 19th and 20th centuries, local people carved model totem poles in many sizes and of diverse materials to suit visitors' tastes in souvenirs
This example is carved from a single piece of 7" long cow bone, and attached to a 1/4"-tall base that measures 1 13/16" x 1 5/8"
