It is carved from a single rounded piece of wood, approximately 12 inches high and 6 inches across in the back
It is not quite 3 inches "deep at the base, that is, it seems to be approximately a 3 inches slice of a round tree or tree limb that was probably about 10 or 12 inches in diameter before the cutting and carving
