This little antique box is made of bone* with hand carved designs of a bird, butterflies and bats on a background of clouds
It was carved in China in the early-mid 19th century for export to England
It's about an American child's size 1 (10 mm diameter opening)
The box measures 1 1/4" tall x almost 1" in diameter and the thimble is 3/4" high
*This item is made of bone from a domestic cow (bovine) and not from an endangered species
