19th - 20th Century
The Santo dates from the early to mid 19th century and the Nicho is from the early 20th century, probably made especially for the old Santo
The Santo has separate jointed arms and the head is made in the old way with a separately carved face of wood
The Nicho appears to be made of an old wooden crate and there is stenciled writing on the bottom, possibly Spanish
Santo - circa 1850  /  Nicho - circa 1920’s
